Weekly Training Category

May 14 – May 20

Monday (05/14) – Group swim at the Washington Park Natatorium. The group swim will START at 6:30 pm. You will want to arrive 10-15 minutes early to get ready for the swim.

Tuesday (05/15) – Group run at the Road Runner Sports Store in Buckhead (3756 Roswell Rd. NE – Suite 16, Atlanta, GA 30342). This run will START at 6:30 pm. You will want to arrive 10-15 minutes early to get ready for the run.

Wednesday (05/16) – Spin Classes (6:00-7:00 PM and 7:15-8:15 PM) at Adamsville Natatorium. Members who reserve a bike on the discussion forum (under Wednesday Night Spin Sessions) will be guaranteed a spot in the class. You will want to arrive 10-15 minutes early to get ready for the class. Bring a towel and two water bottles.

Thursday (05/17) – Group bike ride at Columns Drive. This ride will START at 6:15 pm. You will want to arrive 20-30 minutes early to get ready for the ride.

Here are the directions: Take I-285 North/West, Exit Riverside Drive, Make a right off the exit onto Riverside, Make a left onto Johnson Ferry Road. Please note that we will park at the parking lot at Johnson's Ferry and Columns Drive. Do not drive down Columns. This is a National Park (Chattahooche) so you will need to pay a $3 parking fee.

Saturday (05/19) – Group run at Big Peach Running Store in Decatur (114 East Trinity Place, Decatur, GA 30030). All pace groups will START at 8:00 am. You will want to arrive 10-15 minutes early to get ready for the run.

Sunday (05/20) – Group bike ride at Cartersville Budweiser Plant. All groups will START at 8:00 am. You will want to arrive 20-30 minutes early to get ready for the ride.

Sunday (05/20) – Group open water swim (OWS) at Dallas Landing (Lake Allatoona). The OWS will START at 1:00 pm (for beginners) and 1:30 pm (for intermediate/advanced). You will want to arrive 10-15 minutes early to get ready for the swim.

May 7 – May 13

Directions to FREE Parking near Stone Mountain:
·Take I-285 to the U.S. Hwy 78 East (Snellville/Athens) exit (Exit 39B)
·Travel about 5 miles to the Stone Mountain Village/Memorial Drive exit (Exit 5)
·Travel less than a mile and take the E. Ponce DeLeon Ave/Stone Mountain Village exit (1st exit you come to)
·Turn left at the Stop Sign (E. Ponce DeLeon Ave) and travel straight through the first intersection (Food Mart and Texaco on right hand side) – at this point the name of the street changes to "Main Street"
·Travel straight through another stop light and look for the parking lot on the right hand side (by the Rail Road tracks).
·Park near the big Gazebo
·Ride your bike to the corner of "Main Street" and "East/West Mountain".  Turn right on East Mountain and ride 0.5 miles into the Stone Mountain Park gated entrance.  Cross the street to the main Stone Mountain parking lot and find the ATC start area.

Saturday (05/12) – Group run at West Stride Running Store (3517 Northside Parkway – #11, Atlanta, GA 30327). All pace groups will START at 8:00 am. You will want to arrive 10-15 minutes early to get ready for the run.

Sunday (05/13) – Group bike ride at Silver Comet Trail. NOTE THAT THE START LOCATION IS THE FLOYD ROAD BIKE DEPOT (MILE MARKER 4.2). All pace groups will START at 8:00 am. You will want to arrive 20-30 minutes early to get ready for the ride.

April 30 – May 6

April 23 – April 29

You will want to arrive 10-15 minutes early to get ready for the class. Bring a towel and two water bottles.

Thursday (04/19) - Group bike ride at Columns Drive.  This ride will START at 6:15 pm. You will want to arrive 20-30 minutes early to get ready for the ride.

Saturday (04/21) – Mock triathlon at Dallas Landing (Lake Allatoona).  The mock triathlon will START at 2:00 pm.  You will want to arrive 30-45 minutes early to get ready for this training session.

Sunday (04/22) – Group bike ride at Braselton (see ATC forum post for directions to start). All groups will START at 8:00 am. You will want to arrive 20-30 minutes early to get ready for the ride.
